Sofia was abducted February 4, 2003 sometime after 9 p.m. Tuesday night from her home. Sofia wanted to go to the store with Jose Torres (Sofia's grandmother's boyfriend) so Sofia's mother (Maria Juarez) gave her some money to go to the store with him. He returned 45 min later without Sofia, and stated she never came with him, nor did he know she wanted to go. He has been cleared as well as Sofia's father.

She was last seen wearing blue overalls, a red shirt, violet socks, and white shoes. She was wearing a red long sleeve shirt, blue coveralls, purple socks, and a white pair of Converse tennis shoes & she had on gold hoop earrings.

Sofia was last known to be playing in her bedroom with her brother at their residence. At approximately 9:00 p.m. on February 4, 2003 she walked out of the bedroom and has not been seen or heard from since.

Abduction is suspected although there is no suspect information at this time.
